M. M. Modi College Wins Punjabi University Cycling (Track) Men Championship

Multani Mal Modi College has won the Inter-College Cycling (Track) Men Championships held at Punjabi University, Patiala Sports Complex. The winning team comprised of Punit Kumar, Syed Burhan Ali, Ajay Pal Singh, Husan Puneet Singh, Anand Preet Singh, Surya Thatu, Harshveer Singh and Vijay Partap.
Dr. Nishan Singh, Dean, Sports Committee of the College, congratulated the winning teams.
The college Principal, Dr. Khushvinder Kumar appreciated the sports persons and wished good luck for their next level competitions. He also applauded the sincere efforts of Head of Sports Department Dr. Nishan Singh, Dr. Harneet Singh and Prof (Ms) Mandeep Kaur for providing guidance and other facilities needed for regular practice of sports persons.

ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੀ ਟਰੈਕ ਸਾਈਕਲਿੰਗ ਟੀਮ (ਲੜਕੇ) ਨੇ ਇਸ ਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਅੰਤਰ-ਕਾਲਜ ਚੈਂਪੀਅਨਸ਼ਿਪ ਜਿੱਤ ਲਈ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਚੈਂਪੀਅਨਸ਼ਿਪ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ ਸਪੋਰਟਸ ਕੰਪਲੈਕਸ ਵਿਖੇ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਟੀਮ ਵਿਚ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਪੁਨੀਤ ਕੁਮਾਰ, ਸਇਯਦ ਬੁਰਾਨ ਅਲੀ, ਅਜੇ ਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ, ਹੁਸਨ ਪੁਨੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ, ਅਨੰਦਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ, ਸੂਰਜ ਥਾਟੂ, ਹਰਸ਼ਵੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਜੇ ਪ੍ਰਤਾਪ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਸਨ।
ਕਾਲਜ ਸਪੋਰਟਸ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੇ ਡੀਨ, ਡਾ. ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਜਿੱਤ ਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਬਾਰਕਬਾਦ ਦਿੱਤੀ।
ਜੇਤੂ ਟੀਮ ਦਾ ਕਾਲਜ ਪਹੁੰਚਣ ਤੇ ਗਰਮਜੋਸ਼ੀ ਨਾਲ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਅਵਸਰ ਤੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਖੁਸ਼ਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਨੇ ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਹੌਸਲਾ ਅਫ਼ਜ਼ਾਈ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਗਲੇ ਪੱਧਰ ਦੇ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਸ਼ੁਭਇਛਾਵਾਂ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਖੇਡ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀ ਡਾ. ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਸਿੰਘ, ਡਾ. ਹਰਨੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੋ. (ਮਿਸ) ਮਨਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ ਦੀ ਕਰੜੀ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਅਤੇ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਵੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਅਗਲੇਰੀ ਤਿਆਰੀ ਲਈ ਮਦਦ ਦਾ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
